We are very happy for you for coming this far...you have shown that you are committed to make SFI work for you and to make your dreams come true.
For the last couple of days, you've shown great determination and hard work by going through all the various resources we have set up for.
You're shown patience by not jumping straight into marketing on the very first day you joined.
Many newcomers or newbies get frustrated and left when they don't see money rolling in. Their expectations are too high. They are impatient and they have incorrect perceptions of the big picture of Internet marketing.

Investing TIME
SFI is a very reliable and practical program — an Internet business that requires NO money up front!
* YOU choose the level of your commitment to SFI.
* YOU choose how far you want to take it.
* YOU choose the rate of progress for your own home business.
You might have little money (or no money) or you are cautious before you start investing in your business.
That's OK. It's NOT a problem.
One of the beautiful things about your SFI business is that you can substitute TIME for MONEY!
Like any other businesses in the real world, an Internet business will take time, effort and money to build.
Yes, it may be true that investing money into your business will get you where you want much faster but it is NOT necessary...so long as you understand this:
The Path to Success is not "closed" to you or to anyone.
Substituting TIME for MONEY means there will be a few more twists and turns, and it will take just a little bit longer time to get where you are going.
And that's OK if you know that when you first signed up. After all, even with money, the path can be bumpy and long. And you may even get lost if you do not know where you're going.
The good news is that we will provide you with the "road map" you need to negotiate this path with as little difficulty as possible. Let us be your pathfinders!

Your "Gateways"
By now, you probably would have a very good idea how SFI works and the products and services that are available for you to do your Internet business.
Find out what it is you are selling! Get to know the products and services like the back of your hand.
Let's start with your own websites - they are called "Gateways".
SFI Gateways
SFI Gateways are special Websites designed for SFI affiliates to use to generate sales and enroll affiliates. These Gateway Websites contain your SFI affiliate ID number so that all sales and activity generated by them can be precisely tracked and credited to you.
Gateways are assigned according to the FOCUS you have chosen. Let's concentrate on the Network Builder Program (NBP) - the most popular program in SFI.
Use the Gateway sites listed there when promoting the NBP. Be sure to include these personalized Gateway URL(s) in your ads, business cards, and elsewhere where you advertise your SFI business.
Persons signing up at your Gateways are your PSAs (Personally Sponsored Affiliates) and they help you build you own global sales team. It is the most popular Gateway.

There are other NBP Gateways that you can use to promote your program. Choose the ones you are most interested in and relevant to you.
SFi has created several versions of NBP Gateways. Among them are:
A Spanish version of the Free Gateway and
A version targeted to prospective affiliates living in India.
You will find 5 more versions of clean-and-simple Gateway pages and a "Honey, I fired the boss!" Gateway.
There is also another unique service created for your use with the NBP, but focusing on the incredible income possibilities via the NiceOffers.com program.
Affiliates who market internationally can also use these Gateways designed to better attract people in target countries such as:

Before you go check out your websites, first create a new folder on your Desktop. Name it "NBP" or your chosen focus. Next, open your notepad or wordpad.
When you visit your chosen Gateway Websites that you are going to promote, do not forget to copy your URL's (they have your ID#) and paste them into your notepad. You will need your URL referral links when you start your marketing campaign. Keeping a folder with all your important links will make it easier for you to locate them whenever you need to.

You can choose as many websites as you like to promote.
You can also rotate them while you're doing your promotion in specific locations.
Okay! First, you check out all the free websites assigned to your NBP. Second, you get to know all your sites like the back of your hands. They are your keys to success. And third, you copy and paste your referral URL's into a notepad and save it in a folder that you can access easily.

How To 'copy and paste'
Before we go and explore the various marketing methods and aids, let's complete a simple task of 'copy and paste' some text ads into your file/folder. They will be used in your signature, business cards, classified ads and traffic exchanges.
Do not know how to cut and paste? No problem. The Internet is full of free resources. Here's two good sites to free lessons on a few basics about how to do some of the common tasks such as:
Create a folder (such as c:download or c:incoming)
Download a file
Find a file in Windows Explorer
Open a Zip file.
Copy a piece of text
Paste a piece of text
Copy of file
Paste a file in another directory
Create a shortcut
Change you screen resolution.

Create New E-Mail Addresses
When you sign up for free programs like classified ads, traffic exchanges, article directories, blog sites, forum sites, etc. you are required to submit an e-mail address to the site hosts in order to enjoy their facilities or services.
You MUST get a secondary e-mail address or several for your business. Using your personal e-mail will result in your e-mail getting farmed by the spammers and you end up receiving tons of spam.
You can easily get e-mail accounts from your ISP or from the many free e-mail services such as G-Mail. If you sign up for several new e-mail addresses, you should use the same password for all these accounts. This will save you the trouble of remembering different passwords for different accounts.
Many sites also require you to give an address and phone number. Many people get away with just typing "N/A" or similar text in these fields. Or you can give them what they want. You will have to make this decision by yourself.
